Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our Venison Tendons/Sinew x 3

Venison Tendons, also called sinew, are natural long-lasting chews made from dried venison connective tissue, providing a tough, chewy treat that helps satisfy your dog’s instinct to chew.
These chews are typically made from 100% dried venison tendons with no added grains, artificial colours or flavours, making them a simple, single-ingredient treat for dogs.
Yes, venison tendons are naturally grain-free and use venison as the only protein source, which can make them a good option for many dogs with grain sensitivities or those needing a novel protein, although individual dogs with allergies should always be monitored.
Venison Tendons are ideal for small to medium dogs and moderate chewers, including dogs with food sensitivities who do well on novel proteins, but they should always be matched to your dog’s chewing style and size for safety.
Longevity depends on your dog’s size and chewing strength, but these tendons are generally longer-lasting than soft treats, giving your dog a satisfying chewing session and helping relieve boredom.
Venison Tendons are high in protein and low in fat, support lean muscle, and the natural chewing action can help reduce plaque and tartar build-up, promoting better dental health and fresher breath.
Venison Tendons can be suitable for puppies over three to four months old who are confident chewers, as long as the size is appropriate and they are always supervised to prevent gulping or swallowing large pieces.
Offer Venison Tendons as an occasional chew between meals, always supervise your dog while chewing, provide fresh water, and remove any small leftover pieces to avoid choking, adjusting main meals to account for extra calories.
Store Venison Tendons in a cool, dry place, ideally in an airtight container or sealed bag, and use them by the best-before date to keep them fresh and crunchy.
Because venison is a lean, novel protein, venison tendons can be a good choice for many overweight or sensitive dogs when fed in moderation, but you should always consider your dog’s overall diet and any veterinary advice when choosing chews.
